The Mayor's Academy Hubs - Digital & Hospitality

Supporting businesses within the district

In recognition of the current staff and skills shortage in the digital and hospitality industries, CDA has partnered with Capital City College Group, to establish two new Academy Hubs, as part of The Mayor of London’s Skills Academy Programmes.

The Academy Hubs

The Academy Hubs support training, recruitment and upskilling within the digital and hospitality sectors, at no cost to businesses. The programmes will produce a new pool of employees for businesses in the hospitality & digital industry to recruit from and will also provide career development opportunities for existing employees.

The Mayor’s Academies Programme is completely free for digital or hospitality businesses located within the Central District Alliance area.

What courses can existing staff take?

The Digital Hub will include;

  • Coding & programming
  • Cyber security
  • Digital marketing
  • Cloud management
  • UX & web design 
  • Software engineering 
  • Data analytics
  • IT & essential digital skills

Hospitality courses will cover;

  • Culinary skills
  • Food & beverage service
  • Food & safety hygiene
  • Bakery & pastry
  • Barista skills
  • Mixology
  • Wine & spirits appreciation 

How does this benefit my business?

The programme is entirely free for businesses. Staff can be upskilled and introductions to prospective employees can be facilitates.
