SME Business Support

On Wednesday 17th May, we had the pleasure of welcoming local businesses to our SME Business Support event, in partnership with Metro Bank, Google, LabTech and Camden & Islington Councils’ Inclusive Economy Teams.

The event was kindly hosted by Metro Bank, Holborn, at their Head Office, and provided support and guidance to small and medium-sized enterprises across Camden and Islington, with advice on finance, business growth and digital innovation.

The line-up of guest speakers included:

• Alexander Jan, Chair of the CDA Board, who welcomed businesses and introduced the network of support and services available through the BID.
• Abdul Hai OBE, Director of Community Relations and Public Affairs at LabTech London Limited. Abdul echoed Alexander’s comments and spoke passionately about the importance of creating dynamic communities for businesses to thrive.
• Jimmy Munoz, the Local Director at Metro Bank, who provided an overview on the support Metro Bank can offer SMEs, especially in the difficult current climate – including a dedicated, personal service and advice tailored to each business’ needs.
• Ashton John and Rikesh Valand, Digital Skills Trainers for Google Digital Garage, who provided practical advice on how SMEs could harness the power of digital marketing to expand their reach, attract new customers, and boost sales with their suite of free training courses.

We were also pleased to be joined by the Inclusive Economy Teams from Camden and Islington Councils, who provided additional advice to our attendees.
