CDA tours the district for 2022’s London Real Estate Forum

On the 28th and 29th September, the property industry came together for the London Real Estate Forum (LREF) at the Barbican Centre, just on the periphery of the CDA district. LREF is an opportunity for industry leaders to unite, share knowledge and learn from each other.

On Wednesday 28th, our Chair, Alexander Jan, and CEO, Debbie Akehurst, took part in panel discussions and roundtables with other industry experts. The topics for discussion included the current state of the market and social & natural capital – with some extremely thought provoking conversations arising from each.

For the second day of LREF, CDA hosted two open top bus tours around the district, on a vintage Routemaster! The tour began at Arcade Food Hall, where Alexander Jan provided our guests with an overview of the BID and our involvement in public realm improvements.

The tour continued on foot to Outernet, a brand new immersive digital space, adjacent to Tottenham Court Road. We were met by James McEwan, CEO at Outernet who gave us a wonderful insight into the world of Outernet and the future of events and brand launches. After a sneak peek inside the Outernet buildings, we hopped on the bus and began our tour!

We journeyed around the CDA district, with our Chair, Alexander Jan, as host – joined also by Joe Edwards, Public Affairs Manager at the British Museum, both teaching us all about the history & future of the district! Our Public Realm Lead, Lucy Minyo, also gave us an oversight into the public realm improvements she has been working on throughout the year.
