On the 22nd and 23rd July we brought summer to Clerkenwell with the launch of CDA Presents: Summer in the Street.

CDA Presents: Summer in the Square!

On the 14th-16th of July, we transformed Russell Square into a vibrant celebration of community, culture and creativity with our CDA Presents: Summer in the Square event!

Cycling UK Bike Week

As part of Cycling UK Bike Week, we ran a series of 'Dr Bike' sessions on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at Clerkenwell Green, Red Lion Square and Princes Circus. Dr Bike is an initiative we previously set up which gives the local community access to a free bicycle maintenance MOT from our qualified mechanic Jozsef Kanyicska.

The new St. John Street

We are excited to celebrate the transformation of St John Street in Clerkenwell, as new pedestrian-friendly public realm improvements create a greener, safer and more welcoming environment for businesses, workers and visitors.

AI Awareness Day at Winton School

As part of our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) programme and to mark AI Awareness Day, our Placemaking Project Manager, Carol Boye, visited Winton Primary School to explore the world of artificial intelligence.

Deputy Major of London for Business visits the district

The Deputy Mayor of London for Business and Growth, Howard Dawber OBE, visited the district for a walk-though of Clerkenwell & Farringdon and Hatton Garden to highlight key priorities, challenges and partnership working across CDA and Hatton Garden Business Improvement District BIDs.

We caught up with Abdul Hai, Director of Community Relations and Public Affairs at LabTech, who also sits on our Property Owner Group and the CDA Board to talk about the BID area and our new Property Owner BID (PBID) plans.

Mental Health Awareness Week

During Mental Health Awareness Week (Monday 11th- Sunday 17th May), we hosted a programme of events designed to bring our local community together whilst boosting their Mental Health.

Mayor of Islington Visits Local Primary Schools

As part of a shared commitment to community engagement and early‑years education, the Mayor of Islington, Cllr Jackson along with Debbie Akehurst and Wayne Lewis from CDA, visited Hugh Myddelton Primary School and Winton Primary School on Monday, 27th April 2026.

Supporting the Early Years Curriculum

On Friday 27th March, CDA was proud to facilitate a memorable educational visit for 30 Year 6 pupils from Hugh Myddelton Primary School to 10 Downing Street.
