Mental Health Awareness Week

Join us for a week of mood-boosting activities in support of Mental Health Awareness Week. It’s a chance to shine a light on the importance of mental wellbeing and explore simple, positive ways we can all take better care of ourselves.

On Wednesday 6th May, we had the pleasure of attending the Capital City College fashion catwalk show at the college’s King’s Cross campus.

Mayor of Islington Visits Local Primary Schools

As part of a shared commitment to community engagement and early‑years education, the Mayor of Islington, Cllr Jackson along with Debbie Akehurst and Wayne Lewis from CDA, visited Hugh Myddelton Primary School and Winton Primary School on Monday, 27th April 2026.

Supporting the Early Years Curriculum

On Friday 27th March, CDA was proud to facilitate a memorable educational visit for 30 Year 6 pupils from Hugh Myddelton Primary School to 10 Downing Street.

Power of Women Awards 2026

On 5 March 2026, we sponsored the Dress for Success Greater London Power of Women Awards 2026.

International Women’s Day Business Breakfast

To celebrate International Women’s Day on the 5th March, we hosted a Business Breakfast at The Orangery, Tottenham Court Road, bringing together employers, healthcare professionals and community partners to explore how we can better support women’s health in the workplace.

Random Acts of Kindness Giveaway

On the 17th February, we celebrated Random Acts of Kindness by giving out small gifts across the five neighbourhoods.

Getting to know… Luis Lizaraso, CDA’s Cleaning Operative

Without our cleaning team, we wouldn't be able to ensure that our district is clean, vibrant and welcoming for all who live, work and visit the area. This month, we sat down with long standing team member Luis Lizaraso to talk about his role at CDA!

Hospitality Training with Imperial Hotels

On the 25th November, we partnered with Imperial London Hotels, Mayor’s Skills Academy, the Mayor’s Fund for London, and The King's Trust to deliver a focused Hospitality Skills Programme for young people in the local area. Those selected to be enrolled into the programme, enjoyed two weeks of work experience and key skill training that they could put onto their CV and on the 12th December, 11 young people completed the programme and a graduation ceremony was held to celebrate their hard work!

Cosy Christmas Crafting Workshops

On the 10th and 11th December, our team hosted a series of crafting workshops for local community! It was two days of creative and festive fun where attendees left with either their own hand painted glass bauble or a mini dried wreath.

Our Mulled & Merry Mini Market

We celebrated the start of the festive season with at Farringdon Station from the 25th to the 27th of November with our Mulled & Merry Mini Market along the Farringdon Station concourse.
