Business Breakfast - Artificial Intelligence & digital technologies

This morning’s Business Breakfast at Bounce, Farringdon saw us joined by an incredible line up of panellists and speakers – exploring the impact of AI and new technologies on businesses and the workforce.
 
It was an absolute privilege to hear from our keynote speaker, Anil Doshi – Assistant Professor from UCL School of Management, who shared his insights into the exciting world of AI and the boundless opportunities it offers businesses.
 
Our panel was chaired by Alexander Jan - Chair of CDA and Hatton Garden BID and, alongside Anil, he was joined by Jasbir Sondhi – Vice President of Capital City College Group, Will Durden – Founding Director of Momentum Transport Consultancy and Dylan O'Reilly – Sales Director at ARHT. Demonstrating just one small way in which new technologies can complement business operations, Dylan joined the panel as a hologram, live from ARHT's Capture Studio in Hammersmith – much to the surprise of our guests! The ARHT CAPSULE allowed those in the room to fully engage with the speaker as if he was really there  – and made for a fun and unusual twist on the standard panel!
 
Conversations touched on the efficiency AI can bring to a business; freeing up time for tasks that necessitate human input. Also prevalent was the importance of upskilling existing workforces; ensuring they can both manage new technologies as they evolve and use them to their maximum potential. As reassured by several of our speakers, and our CEO, Debbie Akehurst, who wrapped up the discussions, that whilst it may seem daunting , AI is there to assist us – not take over!
