Cycling UK Bike Week

As part of Cycling UK Bike Week, we ran a series of ‘Dr Bike’ sessions on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at Clerkenwell Green, Red Lion Square and Princes Circus.

Dr Bike is an initiative we previously set up which gives the local community access to a free bicycle maintenance MOT from our qualified mechanic Jozsef Kanyicska. As part of the event, we also worked the national BikeRegister – the UK’s National Cycle Database, where we tagged all the fixed bikes and registered them onto a nationwide database which will help to track bikes if they ever get stolen in the future.

We saw a huge variety people and bikes during the event, from Bromptons to Boardmans, 10-gears to fixed gear, we even had a pristine Rayleigh racer from 1976 and a prop bike from a forthcoming film.
